Course curriculum

Sentinel 2 satellite data is proving invaluable in the geological and mineral exploration spheres and this short course will guide the participant through the process of selecting, downloading and processing Sentinel 2 data to create aerial photo-type images as well as images to enhance geology and regolith. Principal components analysis (PCA) will be carried out on the data as an alternative method of enhancing the spectral response of various earth surfaces. Data download via the ESA Copernicus data portal will be presented and the process explained. Example data is supplied.
